It's an entertaining film with some clever humor here and there, but it's not more than that. The plot is acceptable but it doesn't really feel like an X-Men film. The focus is much more on the plot rather than on the characters — and the objective could have been much better presented; there isn't a strong want-to for the success of our heroes. A somewhat predictable story and a lack of creativeness is another aspect. But it's still an enjoyable ride into the world of our beloved heroes – even though the majority are very underdeveloped. It's no fair comparison against DoFP, and it's not a bad movie – but not exemplary either.
